An 8-week course at Northbrook College University Centre taught by experienced artist and teacher, Steve Carroll. We shall be pushing the medium of drawing with unconventional exercises with the view to it bringing in new influences for your art. Materials required: A2 cartridge pad, a drawing board, graphite pencils, charcoal and ink.

Collagraph is an exciting technique where textured papers and materials are glued to a backing board to make a plate and produce rich, expressive and highly textural prints. You will make you own collagraph plates, learning how to translate your design into a textural collage. While printing you will also have the chance to explore a variety of inking techniques to add further depth and colour to your work. Beginners welcome.

This weekly drop in session for you to explore an existing project or starting a new one with Collagraph Printing method. It spread out 5 weeks to allow time to explore making a plate with different materials and variety inking methods. The session is less construct rather the attendant who lead to create their own work with support. The aim is to extend the continuous exploration with your work.
