Clay constantly amazes me, it’s versatility, malleability and ability to transform from a quantity of mud in the ground, to a beautiful piece of art.
Karen’s chief influential medium for over 20 years has been bronze and bronze resin, and is still an extensive part of her work. Having shown widely throughout the UK with numerous pieces going abroad, and many private commissions and exhibitions.
Over the last 2 years Karen has ventured into ceramics and stoneware. Still keeping her passion for figurative work in this different medium, extracting from the clays the very essence of beauty and strength with a touch of humour at times, each piece being unique. This will be Karen’s second exhibition with her new body of work after a very successful first exhibition.
