About Us

Himalayan Blue Poppy – by Shirley Trevena

adurArtcollective are a not-for-profit, artist led community group established to organise, promote, and develop visual arts in Shoreham by sea and surrounding area of Adur in Sussex.
There are currently over 150 member artists working in a variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, sculpture, jewellery, film making, fashion, textile design and glass.

adurArtcollective was formed in July 2010 by a group of artists who were keen to ensure the continuation of the Adur Art Trail in June each year after it lost council funding.

We have successfully done so for 8 years and more than doubled our membership over this time, expanding our activities to include this informative and interactive website, regular talks, demonstrations and workshops throughout the year, which are open to all. Please regularly check our What’s On and Upcoming Events. We now plan to make Adur Art Trail a biennial event and the next one will be in June 2020.

This year we will hold our second Summer Exhibition 17th to 31st August 2019 at the fabulous Skyway Gallery in Shoreham showing the work of Adur artists.

We will also produce an annual adurArtcollective Calendar and other promotional items to showcase our members’ work, and to raise vital funds for this self-supporting, volunteer led, community group.

In September 2014 we were delighted to announce as our Patron Shirley Trevena RI internationally renowned watercolour artist.
