Yoneko’s media is paper, most specifically: momigami, which means “kneaded paper” which is a tradition lost in time. Sadly, modern Japan doesn’t remember the old tradition of momigami.
Momigami is a process in which the paper is processed with oil. This process changes the paper’s structure making it stronger and/or more flexible.
Momigami gives new life to disregarded paper, moreover, with momigami Yoneko makes: paints, earrings, bookmarks, more covers and much more.
