Paintings by Andrew G. Forrest and Michael Windross
In the Crypt Gallery, Seaford, 3 -11 June
Two ex-choristers of St Paul’s Cathedral get together for a joint exhibition, sixty years on. In their differing syles and contrasting palettes, they will be showing landscapes, marinescapes, cityscapes, and more, from England, the Continent, and beyond.
Both have had long careers in education, but Andrew (BA Sussex, MA London) has always been a practising artist – chiefly in acrylics and watercolours – and he has exhibited widely in East Sussex. He is resident art tutor at Atelier Lérignac, SW France and he chairs the society of Eastbourne Artists. Mike (MA Cambridge, PhD Louvain) only returned to painting (watercolours) when he retired from academia. He had his first one-man-show in Barrea (Italy) in 2014. He is a member of the Adur Art Collective.
The Crypt Gallery, with its 13thC gothic undercroft, offers an exciting environment and ample space for art exxhibitions and is available for hire.
