Drawing for All – Working from the Figure
Huntingdon Hall, Buckingham Road, Shoreham by Sea BN43 6WF
2-5pm on alternate Thursdays
17, 31 Oct 14, 28 Nov, 12 Dec 2019
Cost: £175 for the term plus model fees
This course can be an introduction to drawing, or a refresher for those with experience. All the sessions are based partly on observation, giving you the skills for improving your ‘eye’. Alongside this, there will be room for experimentation and appreciating that drawings can emerge out of sometimes quite ‘messy’ starting points. This is to help get over the fear of the blank page, the fear that you may ‘go wrong’ – there is no such thing as a wrong drawing: a drawing is a drawing, a line is a line, a mark is a mark.
Each term there is a set theme. This term we will be taking the figure as inspiration. But this won’t be like your average ‘Life Drawing’ class – being much more about the process of drawing, and looking, working quickly, experimenting with materials rather than spending hours on one drawing. This approach to drawing can then be applied to any subject, be it figure, still life, landscape, drawing animals….. it is all the same thing, look, draw, trust, and enjoy!
I am now taking payment in full for bookings, as there are only a few spaces left. The total fee is £175 (£40 of this is non-refundable) plus an additional cost of approx £5/week for sessions with a life model (to be split between the group).
Please email me firstname.lastname@example.org to book and I will send you payment details, or phone me on 07905 244623 for any further information
