Exciting Opportunity for Local Artist(s)

Willmott Dixon Construction Limited are currently involved in the new construction in Ham Road Shoreham-by-sea. They are looking for a local artist(s) to construct or incorporate waste plastic into a work of art. At the moment there is half a skip of lots of drinks bottles, milk bottles, packaging and shopping bags to name a few items.

They would like to meet with artists who are interested, and have a particular proposal of what they would like to use the plastic for. They don’t have anything in particular in mind that they want made from the plastic, it will be entirely up to the artist, and a fee will be agreed with the artist(s).

Willmott Dixon have been collecting all plastic since spring of this year and will be on site until May 2019. The piece made will be gifted to the customer or end user of the building at the end of the project (May 2019). It is worth considering that the proposed user will be the Focus Group, a communications company, currently based in Southwick.
