I live in Ferring, West Sussex and am constantly inspired by my surroundings. Since moving over here from Brighton, where I painted mostly Figuarative works in Oil or in soft Pastel.
I’m often on the beach with my dogs where I love to see the variety of birds on the shoreline. Surrounded as we are with farmland, with the fields going right down to the sea at the Goring gap, and with Highdown Hill being the first thing I see each morning, it was a natural progression from painting the Figure to painting the Landscape. This September I will be having my first Solo Show of Landscape Paintings at COLONNADE HOUSE, WORTHING. It is also my first Solo show in 12 years.
I sketch on site in pencil, pen and or watercolour and have my camera with me. Back in my Studio I paint in Oil using sketches and photos as aide memoir.
My Studio is at home in Ferring and is open by appointment. call 07766 523747 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Whilst living in Brighton, I Founded and ran The Patcham Artists Trail as part of The Brighton Artists Open House’s for over a decade.
