I have been working with stained glass for about fifteen years. Initially I went on a one year further education glass where I learned the basics of leaded glass. Following that I went on to work with glass by myself, showing in Adur Art Trail and working on commissions for stained glass panels and windows, until I was persuaded by Sue Wallis to enrol on her stained glass course. Sue was a highly creative and talented artist who was passionate about glass and equally passionate about passing her love of the medium on to her pupils.
I now work with leaded glass, copperfoil, mosaics/applique and fused glass.
The inspiration for most of my work is the local area, in particular the light and water as I live close to the river and sea.
I exhibit annually in Adur Art Trail and am happy to accept commissions.
Recently I have begun working in glass appliqué to create small framed pictures.
I also make name plates in fused glass which have proved popular as christening or birthday presents for children. They can be made either to hang or to fit in an untreated wooden stand so that they could be placed on a windowsill or shelf. If you are interested please contact me by phone or email.
