Picking Buttercups - mixed media on paper

Originally trained as a Stage Designer, for many years I worked in costume design and production for the two London opera houses. Recently I have been exploring work  based on old family photographs plus embroideries and textile works and art dolls based on my earlier training in design for the stage My work has a strong colourful, theatrical  and characterful element, often capturing that brief moment when something may or may not be about to happen.

Katie Sollohub
