Annie Hargreaves gained her degree in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art, but retrained as a Scenic Artist at RADA twenty odd years ago and has never looked back. The process based nature of scene painting (you have to build up in layers if you’re working on an enormous scale) informs the way she creates, even in tiny works. Judy Alexander

Judy studied art all her life even though her profession was as a rehab consultant in brain injury. In the late 90’s she studied textiles culminating in a 5 year diploma courses in art and design and advanced machine embroidery. She often incorporates textile with her paintings. She paints at her studio in Brighton and Vancouver Canada where she and her husband divide their time. This piece, Wind Blown Poppies,  is painted with stitching and layered textiles.
