I was brought up in Cornwall, the daughter of two potters, where my early life was heavily influenced by a wealth of local craftspeople, and the magical shapes and colours of the sea and the land. As a former graphic designer working in colour for printing, my inherent design skill translates perfectly to my glass work. Combining textures, layers and colour, I produce bold graphic patterned glasswork including dichroic jewellery, tableware and art.
Trained in Three Dimensional Design specialising in Ceramics at Loughborough College of Art. Now exploring the delights of fused glass- currently making a version of glass bunting and exploring bowl forms.
Whilst on holiday St Ives, I discovered Glass Fusion by Jo Downs. At the time I had just started the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at West Dean College expecting to specialise in Oil Painting. I booked my first Glass Fusion course with Alex Robinson (now Powell) and fell in love with the medium. I gained my Diploma in 2013 and am now enjoying working in my own studio in the garden.
