Prize winners, aAc Summer Exhibition at Skyway Gallery,

The Shirley Trevena Prize.

Artists and members of the public  gathered at the Skyway Gallery in the Shoreham Centre on the last afternoon of the first ever aAc Summer exhibition for the prize giving. Our patron Shirley Trevena RI awarded a prize of £250 worth of Daniel Smith Artists materials to Isla Willatt for ‘The most innovative use of colour’ in the exhibition.

The Peoples Choice Prize

The next prizes to be awarded were the top 3 on the ‘Peoples Choice Prize’.Over 500 visitors to the exhibition voted for their favourite pieces of work in the show and left extremely positive feedback on the overall standard and diversity of the work on display, many finding it difficult to narrow it down to just 3 choices.

Chris Dawson Shoreline Panoramic [ Centre]
The 1st Peoples Choice prize of a £50 Cass Art voucher was awarded to artist Chris Dawson for his painting Shoreline Panoramic. He was unfortunately not able to attend and his prize was accepted by friend and fellow artist Nick Orsborn RI.

The runner up was Jo Delafons with her wonderful sculpture made from found objects entitled Riverbank Parade. Who won a £25 Cass Art voucher.

3rd Peoples choice prize of another £25 Cass Art Voucher went to Tony Day for his wonderful image ‘Shoreham Town’.

Prize Draw Winner.

Finally a prize draw slip was selected at random from the over 500 completed forms and the lucky winner of a £25 M&S voucher was Elaine Trimmings of Southview, Rd Southwick.
