exhibition at the R.K. Burt Gallery in London last year. Their subjects are div...Read More

The work of ceramic artist Jane Abbot is displayed at Shoreham Art Gallery in October 2018

My ceramic work is mostly centred around the vessel form, although I also enjoy making flat wall pieces and jewellery. As an Art teacher for many years, specialising in ceramics, I find much of my inspiration came from the research that is necessary when delivering the Art GCSE and A level syllabus.

Textile artist Lara Sparks will be presenting her ‘London Landmarks’ lampshades & cushions collection at Shoreham Art Gallery in November 2018.

Lara says: “From my ‘Printed Stitch’ collection. I have produced a detailed embroidery and then had it screen printed onto linen. I then give each one a hand finish. I either use applique and free-stitch, or just free hand embroidery to add the pops of colour on this collection.” Free admission.
