The May edition of ‘The Artist’ magazine has published an article by Shirley Trevena, ‘A Cartoon a Day.’ It reveals how drawing cartoons has always been part of her life and how by drawing everyday events has helped her loosen up her watercolour painting.

Shirley Trevena is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours and past President of the Sussex watercolour Society. She has exhibited her work internationally and is the author of 4 books and has made 3 instructional DVDs. Her paintings can be seen annually at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London . Shirley will also be exhibiting at the Barn Gallery, Patchings Art Centre, Shirley Trevena and Friends from 23 March to 3 May 2019  https://www.patchingsartcentre.co.uk .
